Identifier
SC-0016-I-D-1-A-135Abstract
Handwritten letter from Samuel T. Blatchford to Captain Thomas Melville, regarding the application of his brother, John T. Blatchford, for entry into Sailors' Snug Harbor. Samuel explains that Captain [Samuel] Cobb [agent, Sailors' Snug Harbor] gave him an application for his brother and asked Samuel to get the references on his brother's behalf. Samuel states that he has received the signature from Grinnell Minturn & Co., but has not received the one that he sent to a Marshall T. [?] Roberts. Roberts told Samuel Blatchford that he had sent it, so Blatchford wishes to know if Melville received Roberts's signature directly.Type Of Resource
