Abstract
Handwritten letter [presumably to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor] warning him that there is a plot among the Harbor's inmates to kill him. The writer states that although the recipient has treated the writer badly, he does not wish to see bloodshed. He states that the recipient is a monster for treating old, disabled sailors as has been done and that the sailors hate him.
