Abstract

Handwritten letter from Mrs. H. Wilson to the governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor asking for information on Mr. Sherry, as she states that she sent him a card to him the previous Monday and had not received a response. She explains that she has not heard from him in two and a half years. A notation at the top of the letter, perhaps notes for a response, states that Mr. David P. Sherry, if that is the person to whom she refers, is not an inmate of the Harbor but resides on Clinton [sp?] Avenue in New Brighton. Received while Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask was the governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.
