Abstract

Handwritten letter from H. E. Bunker to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, responding to Trask's letter of June 20. Bunker explains that the only address they have for Atlee P. Bunker's widow is in San Francisco. Dr. [Henry DeWitt] Joy, however, had apparently telegraphed to her address and the telegram was returned undelivered. Bunker has written to the same address and hopes to find her but suggests that in the meantime, Trask send letters to Bunker or hold them until Bunker can provide Trask with the correct address. A notation at the top, perhaps notes for a reply, states that the Harbor will retain the letters until the correct address is provided.
