Abstract

Handwritten letter from William Thompson, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor on a leave of absence, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, noting that his leave expired on October 1 but that he had been on a boat and was unable to communicate earlier. He asks Trask to overlook the delay and extend his leave to October 1, 1891.
