Abstract
Handwritten letter from [Rev.] Morgan Dix, to Captain Ambrose Snow, regarding the application of a man named Mr. Samuel Kerr, who is applying to the harbor as an engineer. Dix states that he knows the man through his wife, a regular attendee at his parish, and that he worked for the U.S. Navy. Dix also refers to a letter from Reverend A. H. [Alfred Hinsdale] Partridge that speaks about Kerr's moral character.
