Abstract

The first letter, from John Jacob Loeffler, is to Henry Macy, librarian of Sailors' Snug Harbor, regarding Macy's suggestion that Loeffler take "a new view of the hospital" [presumably a photographic view]. He states he will be by sometime next week. The letter is dated November 8, 1875.

The second letter is from Henry Macy to Captain Thomas Melville, regarding Loeffler's visit, and is written on the same sheet of paper as Loeffler's letter.
