Abstract
Handwritten letter from P. B. Hagerty to Captain Thomas Melville, requesting an extension of leave on behalf of Sailors' Snug Harbor inmate Wm. [William] Bredshaw. Hagerty states that Bradshaw has been staying with him for three weeks but that Hagerty believes a longer stay would be good for his health.
