Abstract
Handwritten letter from Chas. [Charles] W. Burroughs, to Superintendent of Sailors' Snug Harbor, regarding whether or not his brother, Frederick Burroughs, was still an inmate at the Harbor. Burroughs states he has not heard from his brother in six months, though he knows that his brother was discharged from the institution. Burroughs asks for any information on the matter. 

Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors’ Snug Harbor.
