Abstract
Handwritten letter from F. [Francis] Ellingwood, to Captain Thomas Melville, requesting an extension of leave until the 10th. Ellingwood states his liberty was up on the 14th [of October], but he was at sea at the time. Ellingwood also states that his arm has been giving him great trouble and he may have to quit work at sea completely.
