Abstract
Handwritten letter from Wm. [William] Folsom, to Captain Thomas Melville, requesting an extension of leave. Folsom apologizes for not showing up when his leave expired, saying he is sick and unable to come to the Harbor. Folsom promises to return as soon as he is able.
