Handwritten letter from J. [John] F. Prouty, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, requesting permission to sell hammocks. Prouty asks if he could receive an answer that day. There is a notation on the bottom of the letter that states he is not allowed and Prouty has been cautioned.
