Abstract
Handwritten letter from Richard Leavitt, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, seemingly rescinding his resignation as the watchman of the Center gate. It seems Trask had written a response to Leavitt's original letter and changed his mind on resigning due to his mistake, stating he will be more careful in the future.
