Abstract
Handwritten letter from Mrs. B. F. Clough [Cynthia J. Clough], of Somerville, Massachusetts, to the Governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor, requesting that the gold watch of her father, the late Joseph H. Wade, be sent to her, as her father wished it to be given to her youngest sister after his death. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor. In the upper left corner of the first page is the embossed seal of a bird with a branch in its mouth. [Cataloger's note: The letter writer does not specify that the date was 1882 but the later notation for filing purposes gives it as that year.]
