Handwritten letter from an anonymous sender to the governor of Sailors’ Snug Harbor, regarding Mr. Miles and asking if Miles or the governor is the head of the plumbing, as the pipes are in bad condition and the sender believes that Miles and his son are aware of this but have failed to do their duty. The sender suggests that the trustees should fire Miles. Received while Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask was the governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.
